[5] : A New Dawn

The next morning in the Khanna household unfolded with a sense of anticipation. The aroma of freshly prepared breakfast wafted through the air as Aarav descended the stairs, his footsteps echoing in the grand foyer. Dadu Khanna, Arjun, Ananya, and Riya exchanged playful glances, each aware of the unspoken plan in motion.

Narrator's Voice: As Aarav approached the dining table, the atmosphere crackled with unspoken energy. Dadu Khanna, the orchestrator of this familial symphony, exchanged knowing glances with Arjun, Ananya, and Riya, a silent acknowledgment of the plan set into motion.

Aarav, although perceptive, couldn't quite decipher the undercurrents but sensed that something was afoot. Dadu Khanna winked at Riya, a subtle signal that conveyed the impromptu play about to unfold.

Aarav's Thoughts: "What's going on? Why are they all looking at me like that?"

Dadu Khanna, with a twinkle in his eye, gestured for Aarav to take a seat. The dining table became the stage for the upcoming drama, and breakfast served as a pretext for the family's unspoken agenda.

Narrator's Voice: As Aarav settled into his chair, little did he know that the breakfast table would become the backdrop for a carefully orchestrated meeting, one that had the potential to alter the course of his destiny.

Dadu Khanna's (Convincingly): "Beta, ek baar to mille usse. Kiara ek bahut achi ladki hai. Aur mere bhi to kuch sapne hain. Mai apne honhaar pote ki shaadi mein jee kholke nachna chahta hoon. Tumhari khushi mere liye sab kuch hai, Aarav." Translation: "Son, meet her at least once. Kiara is a very nice girl. And I also have some dreams. I want to dance with joy at my capable grandson's wedding. Your happiness means everything to me, Aarav."

Aarav's Thoughts: "Dadu, aapne toh emotions ka full package bhej diya. 'Honhaar pote ki shaadi mein jee kholke nachna'... Really?"

Aarav couldn't help but chuckle inwardly at Dadu Khanna's theatrical appeal. The mix of emotion and playful aspirations left him intrigued, and he wondered if this meeting would indeed be as straightforward as Dadu portrayed. The breakfast table now seemed laden with more than just dishes; it held the weight of unspoken expectations and the promise of a significant encounter.

Aarav (With a Hint of Anger, Firmly): "Dadu, enough of this. I won't be part of this staged drama. I won't meet her just to fulfill some whimsical dreams. My decisions are not up for negotiation."

Aarav's tone held a firm resolve, reflecting his unwillingness to succumb to the orchestrated situation. The breakfast table, once set for a harmonious family gathering, now bore witness to the clash of individual wills.

Dadu Khanna (In Full Drama Mode, Displaying Anger): "Yeh kya ho raha hai? Itna bada faisla liya ja raha hai, aur tum... tum yahaan baith ke mana kar rahe ho?"

Dadu Khanna, playing his part in the theatrics, expressed feigned anger, his eyes narrowing in a well-practiced display of frustration.

Dadu Khanna (Firmly): "Aarav, maine Kapoors ko keh diya hai aur milne to tumhe jaana padega. Yeh faisla tumhare liye aur hamare parivaar ke liye zaroori hai."

Dadu Khanna (Firmly): "Aarav, I've informed the Kapoors, and you'll have to go for the meeting. This decision is crucial for you and our family."

Aarav (With Anger, Resigned, Adding a Condition): "Fine! If this drama is so important to everyone, then yes, I'll go. But let me be clear—I'm only going to meet her. The decision to marry or not is solely mine."

Aarav, expressing his frustration, agreed to attend the meeting, asserting his autonomy in the final decision regarding marriage.

Narrator's Voice: Dadu Khanna's face lit up with joy as Aarav reluctantly agreed. A collective cheer echoed through the dining room, and Dadu couldn't contain his happiness. High-fives were exchanged, laughter filled the air, and even Riya couldn't suppress a triumphant grin.

Dadu Khanna (Ecstatic): "Fantastic! That's the spirit, Aarav!"

The atmosphere, charged with mirth, saw everyone celebrating the small victory except for Aarav, who, with a stoic expression, took his leave for the office. The dining room, once a stage for familial drama, now resonated with the echoes of conflicting emotions and unspoken uncertainties.

Riya (Playfully): "Dadu, you should've been in Bollywood with those excellent drama skills! Oscars are calling, I'm telling you!"

Arjun (Inquisitively)(Aarav's father): "Dad, yeh itni determination Aarav ki shaadi Kiara se karwane mein kyun hai? Kya aapne unse pehle mil liya hai?"

Arjun, inquiringly, questions Dadu about the source of his determination to arrange Aarav's marriage with Kiara. The possibility of a prior meeting lingers in the air.

Dadu (Narrating): "Ek din meri gaadi kharab ho gayi, aur dusri gaadi lane mein kaafi der lag rahi thi. Main road ki side mein baith gaya, tabhi ek ladki ne apni car roki aur mujhse bade pyaar se poocha, 'Kya hua hai?Mai kuch aapki help kar sakti hun?' Maine bataya, to usne mujhe ghar drop karne ki baat kahi, maine maan liya. Puri ride mein maine usse sab pooch liya, ki vo kya karti hai, kahan tak padhi hai, aur uski shaadi hui hai ya nahi."

"Ghar pahunchte hi, jab usne name plate dekhi, to vo mujhse bolti, 'Aap THE Vikram Khanna hai.' Maine haan bola, to vo thoda pareshan ho gayi. Maine poocha to kehti hai, 'Main Kiara Kapoor hun, Raghav Kapoor ki granddaughter.' Maine kuch aur nahi bola aur car se utar gaya, phir vo bhi chali gayi."

"Ghar aane ke baad, maine kaafi socha. Ab ye khaandaani dushmani bohot dinon se hai, aur mujhe ise khatam karna chahiye. Maine Raghav se baat kari, meeting arrange kari, aur usse bhi bataya ki ab hum bado ko hi dushmani khatam kar deni chahiye. Phir Raghav ko bataya ki maine uski poti se mila, aur mujhe vo ladki bohut pasand aayi. Mai apne Aarav ke liye Kiara ka haath mangna chahta hun. Raghav bhi maan gaya. To aise hua sab kuch."

(Translation:"One day, my car broke down, and it was taking quite a while to arrange another one. I pulled over on the side of the road, and that's when a girl stopped her car and asked me with great concern, 'What happened?' I explained, and she suggested dropping me home, to which I agreed. During the entire ride, I asked her everything—what she did, how far she studied, and if she was married."

"Upon reaching home, when she saw the nameplate, she said, 'You're Vikram Khanna.' I nodded, and she seemed a bit uncomfortable. When I asked, she replied, 'I'm Kiara Kapoor, Raghav Kapoor's granddaughter.' I didn't say much and got out of the car, and she left too."

"After getting home, I pondered a lot. This family feud has been going on for too long, and I felt it was time to end it. I talked to Raghav, arranged a meeting, and conveyed that it was time for the elders to end this enmity. I told Raghav that I had met his granddaughter, and I really liked her. I want to ask for Kiara's hand in marriage for my Aarav. Raghav agreed. And that's how everything unfolded."

Ananya (Supportively): "Papa Ji, agar aapne Kiara ko pasand kiya hai, to vo sach mein badi hi susheel hogi aur apne Aarav ka perfect match hogi."

Ananya, expressing her support, acknowledges that if Dadu has approved of Kiara, she must indeed be a gracious and ideal match for Aarav.

Riya (Excitedly): "I am so excited to meet her! Mai unhe apna best friend bana lungi."

Riya, brimming with excitement, expresses her eagerness to meet Kiara, even envisioning the possibility of forging a strong friendship with her.

Narrator's Voice: Laughter echoed through the room, the tension dissipating into a light-hearted moment. Amidst the joyous atmosphere, Arjun added with a playful grin, "Bas, Aarav, shaadi ke liye haan kar de!"

The room erupted in more laughter, marking the end of the chapter with a blend of emotions, uncertainty, and the promise of a new chapter in Aarav and Kiara's lives.
