[6] : Crossroads of Confusion

In her room, Kiara grappled with a tornado of emotions, unsure of what to make of the relating situation. The scene of an arranged marriage with Aarav Khanna left her in a state of confusion and thought.

Meanwhile, in the living room, the family continued their discussions. Rahul, Kiara's uncle, expressed his concerns to Dadu, "Dad, mujhe lagta hai abhi Kiara ready nahi hai. Ekdam se shaadi ki baat karna thik nahi, kya pata uski zindagi mein koi aur ho."

(Translation: "Dad, I think Kiara is not ready yet. Discussing marriage all of a sudden is not appropriate; maybe there's someone else in her life.")

Dadu, considering Rahul's words, understood the fragility of the situation. The family was aware that rushing Kiara into marriage might not be the right approach, and there could be other aspects of her life to consider. The air in the room became thoughtful as they weighed the complexities of Kiara's feelings and future.

Dadu's strong Words: "Shut up! I know what is good and what is bad for Kiara. Aur agar aisa kuch hai, to usse baat karunga. Aur final decision Kiara ka hi hoga."
(Translation: "Dadu's Assertive Words: 'Shut up! I know what is good and what is bad for Kiara. And if there's something like that, I'll talk to her. And the final decision will be Kiara's.'")

Dadu's stern words echoed through the room, asserting his determination to navigate the situation in the best interest of Kiara. The family fell into a thoughtful silence, acknowledging Dadu's resolve to involve Kiara directly in the decision-making process.

Then, he stood up with a determined expression and made his way to Kiara's room.

He knocked on the door, patiently waiting for Kiara to open it. After a few moments, the door creaked open. A single glance at her face was enough for him to realize the depth of confusion she was grappling with regarding the current situation.

He greeted her with a warm smile and entered the room. They both settled on the bed, surrounded by a brief yet heavy silence. After a while, Dadu considering breaking the quietude.

Dadu spoke with a smile, "Beta, you know you're my favorite among all those bandars. Tu to mera sabse honhaar bachcha hai. Dekh, tujhe koi tension lene ki zaroorat nahi hai. Agar tujhe koi pasand hai, to mujhe bata. Hum usse milenge, aur jab tum chaho, tab shaadi ka sochenge."

(Translation: Dadu spoke affectionately, "Kiara, you know you're my favorite among all those naughty ones. You are my most talented child. Look, there's no need for you to take any stress. If there's someone you like, let me know. We'll meet him, and we can think about marriage whenever you're ready.")
Kiara said, "Nahi Dadu, aisa kuch nahi hai. Bas..."

(Translation: Kiara said, "No Dadu, there's nothing like that. Just...")

Kiara expressed, "Honestly, I don't know how to feel about this. I'm confused. I haven't even met him once, and I've heard he's quite cold."
Dadu laughed and said, "Bas itni si baat! Abhi konsa maine shaadi final kar di hai. Abhi to sirf tumhe usse ek baar milna hai. Dekho beta, this is the right age to get married. Also, agar tumhe thoda bhi doubt ho milne ke baad to mai baat wahin khatam kar dunga."
(Translation: Dadu chuckled and remarked, "Just a small thing! It's not like I've finalized the wedding. Right now, you just need to meet him once. Look, beta, this is the right age to get married. And if you have any doubts after meeting him, I'll end the discussion right there.")

Kiara appeared convinced and gave a nod. Dadu then enveloped her in a warm hug, adding, "Chalo, khana ready hoga hoga."
(Translation: "Let's go, dinner must be ready by now.")

Meanwhile, in the Khanna mansion, Dada Ji summoned Aarav to his room. With a gentle "Come in" following a knock, Aarav entered.

Aarav asked, "You called me?"

Dada Ji replied, "Yes, come. I want to talk to you."

Dada Ji was sitting on his chair, and Aarav took a seat on the bed in front of him.

Dada Ji said, "Beta, I know discussing marriage all of a sudden wasn't right. Before that, I should have asked you if there is someone else in your life or not."

Aarav denied, "No Dada Ji, there's nothing like that."
Dada Ji then asked, "To phir jab maine milne ke baare me kaha, to ekdam se mana kyun kiya?"
(Translation: Dada Ji inquired, "So when I suggested meeting, why did you outright refuse?")Top of Form

Aarav explained, "Dada Ji, it's just that I don't think I'm ready to commit to someone right now."
Dada Ji interrupted, "Chup kar, pata nahi kahan se seekhta hai aisi baatein."
(Translation: Dada Ji retorted, "Be quiet. Don't know where you learn such things.")

Dada Ji said, "Beta, what's the problem in meeting once? Now it's time for you to settle down as well, and trust me, there's no better match for you than Kiara."
Aarav, with a defeated tone, said, "Fine."

Dada Ji said, "Chal jaa, ab soja. Aur mujhe bhi meri beauty sleep lene de."
(Translation: Dada Ji said, "Go on, now sleep. And let me have my beauty sleep too.")

Both of them laughed.
